Mandy Dearsley

Mandy is a self taught artist living in the Essex countryside taking inspiration from the landscape, wildlife and animals around her. Drawing and painting came naturally to her from a very young age. Her work ranges from detailed expressive canine and equine portraits and commissions through to loose and quirky charcoal drawings and sculptures. Landscapes and still life also feature in her work but her passion for animals is most forefront in her work. Owning and riding horses, living with athletic hunting breeds of dog gives such an intimate knowledge of movement and anatomy which is reflected so well in her sculptures and paintings. Her work is in collections as far afield as America, New Zealand, the Falklands, Spain and France.
