Stuart Herod

Stuart was born in 1961 on the island of Malta. Due to his parents being in the Royal Navy. They moved back to England when he was aged 2. He developed a passion for horseracing while still a schoolboy. Therefore it is no surprise that his primary subject matter is horseracing. He also paints wildlife using a technique of many layers of paint and transparent glazes. Some paintings taking weeks or even months to complete.

Today he lives in Yorkshire, attending many local race meetings each year for ideas for his paintings.
