Milan Ivanic

Milan Ivanič

Milan Ivanič was born and brought up in former Czechoslovakia. He was trained in the central European tradition at the Hollar School of Art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He came to the UK in 1970, continuing to work as an artist while bringing up his children. He has lived in Sussex, Devon, London and California before moving to Lancaster. His paintings celebrate facets of the British landscape: he brings out the essence of his subjects through colour and composition.

Milan’s work is in private collections in many countries, and has been selected and exhibited in major national exhibitions in London: The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy; The BP Portrait Award Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery; The Discerning Eye Exhibition at the Mall Galleries.
